How far we've come...

Andrew Mostert:
We recently commissioned an artist (Emilia Pawlikowska) to do some work for us.

The piece is called "How far we've come..." and is of HR biker stopping to admire the view, since we are 19 years old and at the end of our teens.

Skylines have Jhb since there's nothing really on East Rand (note the FIFO on Ponte), Moses Mabhida & Table mountain for the 3 chapters.

Jacob is the dude, representing the quintessential loyal, never-give-up member.

The bike is Andrew's style and the 1993 number plate is start of club.

The colour of the bike is Deep Purple to represent the rock music we like.

The sunrise represents the club in the light and getting stronger all the time.

The green grass he's standing on represents the fertile ground on which the club was founded, and it's long time members.

The gap between grass and the city represents how different we see ourselves from the rest of the public.

Razorback warthog is our mascot/animal for the annual party. It's fat & docile because it's doing well every year.

There are 7 birds flying representing the founder members. 1 of them is white because there's only 1 founder still part of the club, which is Shelley.

The shape of the clouds is for the sky riders, meaning the people who have passed away and are always remembered.

The initials of those who have passed away are on the rocks by his feet.

There are also rocks without initials to remind us of our own mortality.
